Lise René Xana (CV: Uchida Yuuma)
Age: 25//Height: 181cm
Gentle, kind, and beautiful. He grew up with the heroine. Hailing from a family that traditionally serves the saintess, he tends to find himself protected more than protecting the heroine.
Charming point: “I only want to stay beside you”. Even if the heroine doesn’t need him as a servant, he still wants to be at her side.
Staff comment: Even though they grew alongside each other side by side as master and servant, because of their familiarity Lise tends to forget that he and the heroine are “man and woman”. There is a reason why he is so obsessive over the heroine… Whether you want to view them as a pair of lovebirds, or a heroine being played by the hands of fate with her loyal servant sacrificing himself for her sake… is up to you.
Rex de Couracie (CV: Ura Kazuki)
Age: 21//Height: 185cm
“The perfect knight” – pleasant, gentlemanly, and responsible. He will stop at nothing to help the people he swore to protect, even if it goes against the “knight’s code”.
Charming point: “Straightforwardness”. He has fallen for the heroine and will stop at nothing to make her wishes come true. So, what exactly is his reckless method of “aiding” the heroine? His pure feelings for the heroine is what makes his route so special.
Staff comment: Rex is a character who can be clumsy yet forward with his feelings when he oscillates between his sworn duties as a knight and his love towards the heroine on a personal level. Rex is so pure that this route ends up being a game of “tag” between him and the heroine, haha. Please be on the lookout for their dynamic where Rex professes his arduous love for heroine while the two become at the mercy of fate.
Vardis (CV: Yamashita Seiichirou)
Age: 22//Height: 175cm
A priest of “Hieroglyph” which worships the “five pillars”. However, compared to his duties, he seems keener on servicing the ladies. While he can appear shallow at first impressions, he’s also put in real, hard work in supporting the heroine, her tasks, and companions.
Charming point: “Love is hard?!” While he knows what to say and do to charm the ladies, Vardis never opens his heart. He volunteers himself as a “love coach” for heroine. However, they are constantly clashing due to their drastic difference in values.
Staff comment: While Vardis is pretty frank with his intentions with women, he does not believe in “the one”. So how does he make our heroine “the one” – what happens between them that changes him so? The key to understanding his route is the key phrase “having a good heart”. What does good person with a good heart mean to Vardis? Or to you, the reader? Hopefully you will find the answer while enjoying his route.
Flatnis Lailaps (CV: Nojima Kenji)
Age: 26//Height: 180cm
One of the best knights from the enemy country. He likes direct communication and is not good with implied meanings. He pursues the heroine with ardent fervour.
Charming point: “Enemies to lovers”. Due to the circumstances, the heroine is stuck in his country and with him. She ends up learning more about her enemy, as well as Flatnis himself.
Staff comment: Outside of being rivals on the battlefield, the two are surprisingly a very good match. Of course, the most anticipated point is “how much do those two value their love (compared to everything else)”. What makes this route stand out from the others is “because I love you so much, I will give it my all to kill you.” Flatnis doesn’t only express his love through flowery words, but also carries his emotions in his blade.
Cronoll (CV: Furukawa Makoto)
Age: 32//Height: 179cm
A mercenary who doesn’t belong nor loyal to any country. It’s just him, and his gun. Along with his calmness, he also packs his share of eccentricity, aloofness, and sarcasm.
Charming point: “He is my fiancé”. To stop being a saintess, the heroine desperately goes husband hunting. Within a month, she strikes a deal with Cronoll and discovers his other side..?!
Staff comment: You would probably ask, “How in the world do those two fall in love with each other with this guy’s sharp tongue?” Well, with this heroine who too will not let him have the last word, they end up being a “bickering couple”. I will hint that there are also scenes where Cronoll gets a little overprotective of the heroine. This “gap” in his personality may appear adorable to many!
God (CV: Kaji Yuuki)
Age: ???//Height: 175cm
He dubbed himself “God”, assuming the role of the caretaker overwatching every generation of saintess. However, when the time comes, he is never useful. He is the one who cast “the chain of love” on the heroine.
Charming point: “No love allowed!” God’s main goal is to stop the heroine from finding her love. Usually, he only appears in the heroine’s dreams. However, recently, he seems to be able to talk to her while she’s awake too..?
Staff comment: Everyone’s probably realized by now, but his route is locked (for last, presumably), and the truth to this whole story… His route will make more sense as you experience and understand the plot. If I had to summarize his route, it would be “a story of mutual understanding”. I hope you enjoy and treasure this journey you walk with him!

Thank you so much for the translation! I am still skeptical about Otomate’s take on Western religious themes, but hopefully (optimistically) they are handled better here than in Piofiore (haha). Are there any LIs catching your eye right now?

I honestly like everyone! I preordered Lise’s special set from Stellaworth but I think Rex will also be a close second given his route is all about “pure love”. I also really love “enemy to lover” trope. As for Vardis & Cronoll it will depend on execution. I do okay with a well-written tsundere but the “flirty guy who doesn’t let anyone in” trope I’m historically 苦手 so hopefully the writing will convince me otherwise…
I hope so too. However, this one differs from Piofiore imo in that Piofiore was “historical” this one really just wanted to add a “mythical” “western” layer to the story IMO. The religion is made up. It has French elements because we all dig that stuff but not like Piofiore where we expected it to be based on Catholicism and were really disappointed when it didn’t follow.. Here the writer can say whatever she wants regarding the rules of the religion etc. so there’s more leeway if that makes sense?

I will keep an eye on reviews after the release date and see if the game interests me! The note about Lise being obsessive is concerning for me (haha). I agree on Rex and the enemy to lover trope! As for the plot/themes, I will wait and see 😅

Sounds good! You really don’t like yandere I can tell. You’re just going to LOVE Sullyland Nursery Rhyme LOOOL jk jk. CC for me personally likely will be delayed into August/September given I expect 2-3 weeks for the game to actually ship, then August is work hell for me.
I will play sins of Kaleido on release though! Which works are you getting vs. eyeing for second half of year??
