ビルシャナ戦姫 ~一樹の風~
Completion date: February 27, 2025
Overall rating: 6/10
Worth the time and money (I’d wait for a sale) if you enjoyed the first game. The highs are really high but the quality of writing in different routes is inconsistent as are the CGs. Shana fortunately manages to slay in all of the CGs, but there were some profiles of the LIs where I don’t even recognize them anymore. I was quite disappointed with some of them.
Overall, the main character after stories are quite romantic and intriguing except Tomomori’s which was a disappointment. The individual routes are decent but everyone except Shigehira’s have plot holes. Shigehira route really stole the show though.
Recommended route order: n/a, does not matter. Play Takatsuna bad end before good end.
Main LI FD ranking: Benkei > Shungen > Yoritomo > Noritsune > Tomomori (almost like backwards of the main game…)
Side character route ranking: Shigehira >>> Tadanobu > Tsugunobu > Takatsuna
***SPOILERS BEGIN***
MAIN CHARACTER AFTER STORIES
MINAMOTO NO YORITOMO (CV: Furukawa Makoto)

Yoritomo was my least favourite LI from the main game for two reasons:
- I felt he didn’t express his love to Shana at all hiding behind the excuse of his trauma and need to fulfill his destiny and restore the Minamoto name, and basically used her as a war machine
- I couldn’t get over how low FuruMako made his voice was and it just wasn’t it for me
The FD is everything I wish I saw in the main game and I was left wanting more when it ended. I enjoyed his FD very much and converted to a Yoritomo enjoyer for sure.
The game starts with a kabedon scene because Yoritomo is jealous that Shana remains close with her followers. He corners her and tells her “all I have is you” yet you have all those other men… Wow what a steamy start.

Word has it that Yoritomo has hidden a “princess” in his quarters. However, at this time Shana is still known to the world as his little brother. The houou which is basically the religious figurehead of Japan (he will be referred to as the Pope of Japan because I can) wants to play every power like a pawn so he tells Yoritomo to marry one of the noblewoman from his family and then he will support his rule. Shana is heartbroken but wants to support Yoritomo and his destiny so she acquiesces.
Yoritomo eventually asks Shana to go out on a date with him, where they disguise as man and wife and travel to a tourist attraction which features two “husband and wife waterfalls”. They drink the water from each other’s hands with Yoritomo kissing her hand. He also remarks that just because he doesn’t respond much when Shana shares her day with him, does not mean he isn’t listening or doesn’t care, and that he “remembers every thing she’s ever said” to him. The two also do it on the beach on the way back, I guess.
The wrench thrown by the pope of Japan is resolved by Yoritomo saying he will marry Fujiwara Hidehira’s adopted daughter aka Shana herself. The FD then abruptly ends in them having a very steamy after-meeting moment in Yoritomo’s chambers where he confesses his love for her and asks her to continue giving her all to him, but as his wife. It’s funny that he comes to the conclusion that “looks like I have not expressed my love enough (for you to trust that I would never give you up in order for some “plan” or “destiny” I have for the Minamoto clan)” – no shit Sherlock.

MUSASHIBOU BENKEI (CV: Umehara Yuuichirou)
Benkei was already a relationship green flag in the base game and he continues to not disappoint, and adds a little bit of steam. Overall I enjoyed this route.
The FD starts with the two, who call each other husband and wife, confessing to each other in a quiet flower field. Benkei pops the question of “so what are we (to the public)” because to the public Shana is still a man which makes it not possible for them to be husband and wife (obviously because of the time period gay marriages are not allowed). On top of this, Benkei is a monk who is not supposed to be relations with woman. [Isn’t he a 破戒僧 aka a monk who has already broken rules of being a monk – e.g. killing, eating meat, drinking alcohol… so what’s being with a woman added to him? It’s not that he answers to his temple.]. Shana and him decide to visit Hiraizumi to clear her identity. Before they leave, Kakunichi (the monk who raised Shana) warns them that going fully clean may not be the best idea because even if Shana becomes a princess of Genji, the difference between her and Benkei’s social status would still make this match difficult. They agree on telling the world that Shana is a woman, but hide their relationship for now.
On their way, they help some villager who lets them crash at his house overnight. The two get a bit steamy but Benkei calls it as they were about to do the deed, so Shana is left frustrated, confused and unsatisfied. The next day they catch fish for food. Benkei, being his stereotypical big cuddly clumsy self cannot catch any fish, and wins a giggle out of Shana. Together they catch some fish. The weather gets bad so the two hide out at a cave. Shana’s clothes are wet so Benkei takes them off and cuddles her near a fire.

The two arrive at Hiraizumi and tell Hidehira surprise it’s a girl. Hidehira being his gentle self of course forgives Shana and says he’d love to have a daughter, and all he wishes is for her happiness. However, because they did not disclose their relationship, now all of Shana’s followers want her to give them a chance [what happened to the “difference in social status” that Kakunichi said?]. Shana is showered with a new kind of attention, and a crestfallen Benkei acts like a schoolboy crushing on a girl and decides to hide and avoid contact with her. However, he follows her in the shadows during her hangouts with other characters – and quickly noted by Shungen because he is not good at hiding lol.
Fortunately, Shana picks this up and decides to talk to Benkei and let him know that her heart has always been with him. Because nobody leaves her alone during the day, she decides to visit him at night and the two have a 夜這い scene and confirm their love for each other.

The next day, Benkei “kidnaps” Shana for a date. They meet two young kids who asks who they are. Shana replies “I am Benkei’s wife”. The kids innocently roast Benkei a little basically saying Shana is too pretty for him (again a good reminder why kids are absolutely ruthless), but the scene ends with Benkei making a pretty wreath for her and more romantic confession – Benkei wants to have a big family with Shana and many children – not surprising since he is probably the most dad material out of all the LIs.

The two return to Hidehira announcing a marriage proposal between Shana and his son. Neither parties liked this match. Benkei finally has enough and blurts out that Shana will be his wife and nobody else’s. Of course everyone accepts and wishes them a happy marriage, and they have a formal wedding blessed by Hidehira. And then they live happily ever after away from war and political intrigue.

SHUNGEN (CV: Saitou Souma)
The FD picks up where Shungen is found out to be the real Genji heir, but struck a deal with Yoritomo in the end to fake his and Shana’s deaths (and those no longer posing a threat to Yoritomo’s rule) to live together as commoners somewhere. Maybe it’s unfortunate route timing, but this route literally again starts with Shungen being awful at fishing. (name a more iconic duo, Birushana LI and inability to catch fish…) He was a bit better than Benkei and caught two, so at least there’s dinner lol. Shana wants to help out and cooks the fish, but they ended up being too salty. She feels bad because she is not being a good wife but obviously Shungen will love her no matter what. Shungen eats all the fish only for Shana to catch him getting up in the middle of the night to drink water because the fish was too salty.

The two are still travelling and have been taking shelters in random houses that were deserted. They were about to get steamy but Shungen heard people trying to come in. Turns out it was a traveling performance group. The duo catches up on the state of affairs where the war is ongoing, with Genji soldiers patrolling villages and stray Taira samurai now acting as bandits. In order to protect themselves, Shungen offers to join them as flute player and sword dancer under aliases, so that their identity won’t be questioned as much. At the same time, rumours begin that “Yoshitsune” is alive, well, and spotted; this reaches Shana’s other ex-followers who now serve under Yoritomo.

The group travels to a city and perform for the local people. Both Shana and Shungen receive a lot of applause as well as attention from the opposite sex. Shana sees a girl who comes to watch their performance every day. One day, she follows Shungen to an alleyway where he was spotted with this girl, who then says things like “I’ve been in love for a long time…” Shungen then puts his hand on her shoulder saying thank you. Shana could not bear seeing more of this so she ran away. Instead of asking Shungen what he was up to, she sulks by herself and became so distracted that she fell off stage one day.
Shungen, being the sensitive person he is, asks Shana what she has been hiding. The two clear things up. Turns out the girl was actually an admirer of Shana’s performance. Before the two could ichaicha, another bombshell drops that the local aristocrat under Minamoto wants the group to perform for him, and supposedly the real “Yoshitsune” will also be a guest. Shana is uneasy but she doesn’t have a choice but to attend without raising suspicion. Before the crew entered the estate, they were attacked by some bandits who were ex-Taira samurai/soldiers, who say they have no choice because the Genji regime abuses them and they have to find some way to make ends meet and realize revenge. They wanted to kill the crew and be escorted into the residence in their place. The treatment of the Taira samurai goes against Shana and Shungen’s values because they want the world to be peaceful, and everyone to have their place in this society, not just the victory/absolutely power of Genji or Taira. Shungen strikes a deal with them that they will still go in, but will find a way to get the Genji off their tail.
The performance begins and “Yoshitsune” was clearly an imposter who is crude and without class. Shana performs a sword dance and intimidates the imposter a bit by slashing her sword close to his body. Shungen then explains Shana is no ordinary dancer: she can usher the bad luck/spirits away as well as can temporarily host other spirits and allow them to talk to the world through her. The imposter of course, takes an interest in this and the ceremony begins. Shana acts as if she’s been possessed, and defeats the imposter who was armed with a sword with her bare fists. She then declares to be possessed by the “spirit of the real Yoshitsune”, that this one is just a fake, and that the real Yoshitsune would have never wished suffering upon anyone, even if they were Taira soldiers, and what her values really were. She then pretends to be unconscious and come back to her real self and not remembering what happened.
The imposter was promptly taken care of, and word reaches Yoritomo about this incident. The whole group quickly realizes that the duo was actually Shana/Shungen, as they didn’t even bother changing their aliases (used the same ones in the base game). However, when asked where the two/the traveling performer group are right now, the two have quit the group right after the incident. Yoritomo and co. then decide it would probably be the best that those two are left to their devices. He once again declares that Yoshitsune is no more in this world.
The two then live happily ever after with some more confessions and how jealous they were of each other re: the attention they received from the opposite sex. Shungen makes some yandere-ish comments that he only wants Shana to look at him, that Shana should not have anyone else, nor does he have anyone else… which is right up my alley hahaha. The final scene also has some pretty graphic – very close to R18 level descriptions – that I will not spoil here.
I was a bit frustrated with the unnecessary drama created in Chapter 2 with the miscommunication about Shana’s fangirl but the plot twist and exposure of the imposter Yoshitsune overshadowed this flaw, making this overall an enjoyable route for me!
TAIRA NO NORITSUNE (CV: Kawanishi Kengo)
Noritsune (or “Takahito”) and Shana (who still goes by Shana… seriously?! are you guys not worried about blowing her cover?) live as husband and wife in a secluded village. The theme, of course still revolves around fish (………) but contrary to last route, Shana is a better cook and receives praise from Noritsune that her cooking is so yummy. The two both confess that they are still adjusting into their “commoner” roles and have a lot to improve. However, they love each other and that’s what matters. This route also wastes no time in dumping 3 CGs in succession to the point I was wondering if this route will only have two chapters. Things start heating up at night but Noritsune backs out saying they can’t do it just yet, but also will not give a reason… Shana also later sees Noritsune talking to some other men in the village, but he again acts secretive and won’t tell her the content of their conversation.

The two receive a visit from no other than Tomomori and Shigehira! While the two definitely stole the spotlight a little bit, overall this was a welcomed addition and the Taira brothers were surprisingly wholesome and supportive. The Taira brothers tease (just kidding… or are they?) Shana to “play” with them and ditch Noritsune. However, when things got dangerously real they quickly said they just wanted to tease and they won’t stoop that low to take their cousin’s wife. They wanted to see how they are doing and are relieved that they are leading a peaceful life and are not dead or something. The villagers come to see what the commotion was about, but Tomomori expertly deflects the situation saying he was merely visiting his ex-subordinates so it’s nothing to be alarmed about. Noritsune was not impressed that he went from cousin to some “subordinate” but obviously Shana shushes him lol.

When Noritsune was out in the field one day, Shana hangs out with the Taira brothers. Tomomori makes some astute observations that Shana is not truly happy right now as she has to pretend to be defenceless and rely on the men’s protection. Shana acknowledges this, but Tomomori doesn’t stop there and says there is more. I note that the brothers found them by “sixth sense” alone; the blood connection is truly strong and the sixth sense is uncannily accurate. (Which makes me look forward to the brothers’ routes!) Shana eventually becomes so frustrated that she is not progressing in the relationship with Noritsune she confesses to Tomomori/Shigehira that he wouldn’t touch her. The two were surprised then brainstorm some reasons, one of them being Noritsune is so goody-two-shoed he probably doesn’t even know how to have sex lol, because he is all about being a samurai and stuff.
Some bandits break into the village. They outnumber Noritsune so badly (like 20+:1) while Shana is watching from the sidelines as a “defenceless” woman. A bandit almost gets to Noritsune when Shana decided enough is enough and took matters into her own hands, and fought beside him. Tomomori again helps protect their identities by saying they used to work as his bodyguards.
In the end, Noritsune gets a mysterious package from his fellow village people. He then approaches Shana saying he’s been putting off having sex with her because he wants some semblance of a real wedding/ceremony formalizing them as husband and wife. He then takes out mika no mochi which is a tradition in the Heian period for newlyweds to eat this cake. However, they got the order wrong and ate the cake first then did the deed, when in fact, as Shigehira pointed out, this was supposed to be eaten on the third day of their wedding ceremony, after the deed is done… I can’t with these two, such puppy love, so pure, so adorable, must protect lol.
TAIRA NO TOMOMORI (CV: Fukuyama Jun)
As a Tomomori-oshi, I saved this route as the final one to play in the entire game. It did not live up to my expectations. In fact, I’m not even going to post any screenshots or CGs, not worth my effort/space. The plot was predictable and for 1/2 of the route the two were in sexual frustration because they won’t freaking communicate.
Tomomori shuts Shana in because he is possessive, but tries to make compromises and let her see her friends, only to quickly walk back on the idea when he sees her getting male attention, including a Yoritomo proposing marriage (moreso to irk Tomomori) as Shana is not a Minamoto but a Taira.
Shana has a dream where Rengetsu comes back and haunts her. She becomes worried that if she has Tomomori’s kids (or anyone’s kids in general) she will pass on this ominous power to her offspring and cause tragedy. Instead of voicing her concerns to Tomomori who is more than ready to listen to her, she just keep rejecting his advances and writes to Yoritomo to meet Tokuko’s kid to see if he has the bad powers. She also doesn’t tell Tomomori why she’s writing to Yoritomo; so Tomomori also gets the wrong idea and thinks Shana is tired of him and getting ready to cheat on him with Yoritomo. The day comes for Shana to visit the pope of Japan and Tokuko’s son, she just sneaks out to Yoritomo’s place without telling Tomomori, so the latter breaks in ready to burn the place down… I was just facepalming throughout this mess. There are so many ways to make this an exciting route but the writer managed find the most boring and worst one. I believe many of us myself included wanted to see an unhinged Tomomori… if the writers can’t do that then just make it sweet love, what is this lol.
In the end the two kiss and make up and make out, whatever. The dream scene was nice but does not save the route, nor does FukuJun’s sexy voice. Ugh.
SIDE CHARACTER ROUTES
SASAKI TAKATSUNA (CV: Amatsuki)
Amatsuki is an utaite which makes it super interesting that he branched into VAing for this! Unfortunately his route sucked ass in the FD to the point I’m not even going to dignify it with posting a CG or screenshot.
We follow Yoritomo route where he meets Shana outside Yoritomo’s quarter and mistaken her for an assassin. Later on, Shana was getting outnumbered by the Emishi and he saved her. They have a duel in which Shana wins fair and square in terms of swordplay, but he sees an opening, pretended to surrender, then pushed her on the ground and commented on how naive she was. He also finds out she is a woman and starts taking a strong interest in her since, because oh this delicate flower of a woman joined the army and is so strong and resilient and makes him dokidoki. Yoritomo gives Shana a tall task to lead an insubordinate army of samurai to attack Genji by surprise. The samurai are pissed that some youngster came later than them but assumed their leadership because of nepotism, so Takatsuna threatens them to behave. The attack was a huge success with Shana winning the samurais’ trust.
Takatsuna then takes Shana on a one-on-one spying trip back in Kyoto. The two disguise as man and woman. He then makes the moves on Shana and wants to pose as husband and wife, but Shana literally brozones him and says he is more like a little brother to her. This stings Takatsuna’s ego but he plays along and the two holds hands and whatnot. He then shares a bit about himself that he is basically like Shungen (his father served Shana’s father). However, his priority is not reviving the Minamoto clan but rather for all the people to live in peace, kind of like Shana. The two’s covers obviously get blown with them cornered by the trio.

Here is where it gets super weird because the two essentially 2v3 and win, and no party used their supernatural powers. It’s as if the power doesn’t exist in this route. After the battle, the two retreat to their hideout with Takatsuna deciding now is the perfect time for a kabedon and confessing his love that he doesn’t want Shana to see him as a little brother but as a man.
The plot continues with Yoshinaka coming into Kyoto and ravaging the land and people. Shana again, gets her ass kicked by Yoshinaka without activating her powers, and then Takatsuna 1v2s Yoshinaka and his general (don’t even remember his name). Takatsuna is just so OP in this route and Shana not as useful. Shana again, revealed her chest or something so now Yoshinaka and the Pope of Japan know she is a ~woman~ too. The pope does his usual scheming and wants to marry her off to Tomomori (honestly would much rather this happen) and let the two families make peace. Somehow in between this Shana catches feelings for Takatsuna and doesn’t wanna marry Tomodaddy. I am too checked out to care at this point so assume she cares about him because he was saving her ass this entire route. She bids farewell to Takatsuna before she takes off, who apparently came back from some mission and basically says “yeah I can’t help you, good luck with Tomomori”.
Turns out neither Yoritomo nor Takatsuna intended for Shana to reach the Taira and this was all a ruse. However, the bad ending happens when Shana gets so depressed she basically commits suicide by running into the blade when the Emishi attack them. In the good ending, a surprised Shana is whisked away by Yoritomo’s army with her able to marry Takatsuna and live happily ever after. All of this dumb drama could have been prevented by Takatsuna actually letting Shana in on the plan before she leaves. It’s not like she is not trustworthy enough to keep a secret; she is a general who has commanded armies for god’s sake. Yeah… 1/10.
SATOU TADANOBU (CV: Konishi Katsuyuki)
So I am writing this section more than 2 weeks after I completed the route so it will be quick.
I liked Tadanobu route a lot, especially after running it after the abomination that was Takatsuna. Tadanobu was revealed to be a helpless romantic who keeps falling in love with every girl who shows the slightest kindness but he’s got no rizz so girls all run away from him. He’s also got some sort of hand fetish because girls’ hands are so small and soft and uwu (more on this later).
He appreciates Shana for her (or should I say, “his”) kindness and makes some comments here and there that she’s built awfully small and delicate for a man. The duo plays Stardew Valley: Emishi edition in that Shana literally makes peace with the Emishi, who are just a group of villagers who want to live in peace and protect their women and babies and elderly. One day Shana takes a shower in a spring or body of water (which is awfully naive for someone disguising as a man with a risk of being seen) and like some cliche anime Tadanobu runs into her… and can never look at his master the same way again. He would refuse to let Shana do any kind of heavy lifting or manual labour. The cliche harem anime continues (but I enjoy it) where all Shana’s follows duel it out for the right to do something special with her, and Tadanobu won – with his request being a date. The two then share a romantic moment where Shana feels unfeminine because her hands are all worn and beaten from battle, but Tadanobu stating he loves them and think they are beautiful.
Yoritomo eventually finds out Shana is a woman and of course he wants to use his sister to further his political ambitions. In the good ending they elope and go into exile together. In the bad ending, Shana goes berserk while fighting and Tadanobu calms her down at the cost of his life.
This route is nothing new or mind-blowing but it was in-character with Tadanobu, who admired and respected Shana and her wishes. Couldn’t really ask for more tbh.
SATOU TSUGUNOBU (CV: Kondou Takashi)
Is anyone going to make a Diabolik Lovers brothers joke between the Satou brothers? (They voice Subaru and Reiji)
This route overall was enjoyable with decent plot but Tadanobu’s was better imo. Tsugunobu was the most attractive side character to me in the base game because of his pretty boy design, haragumo personality, and of course Kondou Takashi.
The plot is quite linear in that Shana hides her worries from her followers, but deep down continues to push herself and feels inadequate to be a proud brother of Yoritomo. Tsugunobu susses this out and have a heart-to-heart with her. He makes Shana feel more confident in herself then tells her she can go to him anytime she likes. He tells Shana to treat him like an older brother (the one she never had because Yoritomo is so serious and scary). He also comments that she is more like a little sister than brother and calls her cute.
You see, the whole time Tsugunobu had a strong suspicion that Shana was cosplaying as a man, being the observant person he is, evident from their initial meeting when he was like “aren’t you a woman”. Shana got warped into a political marriage (like she always does) with some noblewoman, which sends her in a panic because… she is not a man. Tsugunobu then trolls her giving her a tea saying that it is good for health if the drinker is a man, but will kill the drinker if they’re a woman. Shana now enters full PANIK mode and spills all the beans and begs Tsugunobu for the antidote, only for him to laugh and tell her that he just wanted to confirm his suspicions all along. Now that he confirms she is a woman, he will help keep this a secret and get her out of this sticky arranged marriage situation, which he defused expertly.
Similar to other side character routes, Tsugunobu starts getting very protective of Shana, not wanting her to go to battle or do “manly” activities. Shungen steals the spotlight here by telling Tsugunobu that Shana is not some delicate flower that needs to be in a greenhouse, that she has her own ambitions and dreams and people should respect that. Tsugunobu apologizes and again declares his support for Shana as a follower.
I’m not going to strictly describe the plot or battles as they don’t matter imo. In another scene the two go on a trip where Shana falls in love with a hair decoration but quickly chides herself as she is still a man to society and cannot have those pretty things. The two’s relationship slowly warms up with Shana acknowledging that Tsugunobu to her is beyond a follower, and beyond a brother even… she is just scared to make that final declaration, because there’s only one role that transcends both.
In Shana’s first battle to prove her loyalty and usefulness to Yoritomo, Tsugunobu gets shot in the back by arrows protecting Shana. However, he tells Shana to prioritize the battle, to which Shana tearfully agrees. The battle is won. Shana rushes to an unconscious Tsugunobu’s bedside and basically yells at him until he wakes up. I laughed out loud lol. Anyways, the two talk about their future with Tsugunobu saying he will follow Shana wherever she goes: “My home is wherever you are”. In the meantime, Yoritomo, upon seeing Shungen’s katana realizes Shungen is the real “Yoshitsune” and that Shana is not a Minamoto.
Good end: Yoritomo relieves Shana of her duty to the army, as she is not even the real Genji heir, and she gets to be with Tsugunobu and return to Hiraizumi. [I am slightly bummed by this ending because throughout both games Shana made it clear that her dream is to bring this world peace, end wars, and for people to live happily. The fact the war is still going on and she just peaces out because she no longer carries the Genji name is OOC for me. I’m not saying she is not allowed to pursue her own happiness but that’s not what Shana does; she is not a romantic.]
Bad end: They both die. Shana got shot in battle [Shana’s powers seem nonexistent in the side character routes. Again, she would rather get shot than activate her powers] and like earlier tells Tsugunobu to ignore her and focus on winning the battle. (to achieve the good end Tsugunobu needs to not listen to this order and focus on getting Shana to safety.) Tsugunobu then gets backstabbed because the pope of Japan is a scheming asshole.
TAIRA NO SHIGEHIRA (CV: Oosaka Ryouta)
In the FD Shigehira’s route outshone his big brother’s. There are a lot of interesting parallels between this route and Tomomori base game. Shigehira gets sent to Hiraizumi to hunt down Shana’s whereabouts. He finds her and blackmails her and Hidehira to do his bidding (or he will write back home and send an army). Initially, he was annoyed at his brother finally paying full attention to someone for the first time in his life, but the attention was not at himself. He wants to see what charms Shana had. He also made Shana pour him sake. The two also have a scene where Shigehira kisses Shana on the mouth when he still thought she was a dude lol, nice.
Shigehira gets to spend some time with the crew. He made it pretty clear that he like Tomomori is not interested in the war; and that his objective is to make Tomomori happy and proud. He gets to cross swords with Shana and her followers in battle, as well as see firsthand how Shana treats her followers with kindness and respect, and regard them as her friends. “Nakama” is a foreign concept to Shigehira as the Taira regime is oppressive and hierarchical. I often forget the big war setting in this route, and think of Shigehira almost like some parody rival club person in a school anime where he joins a new group as the new kid and slowly melts away from their kindness and re-examines his values.
Conveniently, Shigehira forgets to write to Tomomori all this time. He also discovers that he never wants this time to end. However, Yoritomo raises his army against the Taira. Shana realizes her fate and wants to join her “brother”. Shigehira does not stop her, and the two part ways amicably. Tomomori who has been far away from all this finally realizes there’s something wrong with his obedient little brother, and that he’s been eyeing “his” woman. Tomomori goes pretty yandere/villain in this route and I dug it a lot more than his own route.
The bad ending is the “3P” CG where Tomomori kills everyone and defeats everything. He forces Shana to be his wife by blackmailing her with Shigehira’s life. Shana is broken and is basically a speechless doll unless she’s allowed to see Shigehira daily (when he is tortured) and let him suck some life essence out her.
The good ending is where Shigehira decides he wants to live for the new values that he learned from Shana – kindness, friendship – and together with Shana, he defeats Tomomori, who jumps into the ocean in the end as he wanted someone to end his misery and existence all along “someone stronger than me to completely overpower me”; Shana also comments that Tomomori didn’t want Shigehira to live with the guilt of killing his own brother so made the choice easy… Tomomori is really sexiest in other people’s routes but then falls flat in his own.
FINAL THOUGHTS
My thoughts on this game are bittersweet. I had my good moments and ones where I was constantly pressing the next button to get out of this dialogue, mostly stupid miscommunication drama. The game is ultimately worth playing but wouldn’t hurt to wait for a sale. I am still salty about the CGs and Tomomori’s after story.
I would not recommend it as strongly as I did for the base game. Given my average score is usually around 7/10 this game will be slightly below average in my standards because of the inconsistency. Was a fun journey, but we are at the end.
